Good questions

Answers before you ask

How long does a palapa actually last in Texas weather?

Built right, a long time. Natural palm thatch typically lasts 7–10 years before a refresh, and synthetic thatch can run 15–20 years. We use hand-selected cedar and proper construction so your structure holds up to North Texas sun, wind and the occasional hail storm.

Do I need a permit, and can you handle that?

It depends on your city and HOA. We're licensed and insured, and we'll let you know during your consult whether a permit applies to your project and how to handle it. We'd rather do it by the book than risk a headache down the road.

How long does it take to build and install?

Most palapas and tiki bars are installed in a few days once we're on-site. Larger outdoor-living transformations take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline with your quote — and we keep our word on it.

Will it work over my existing pool deck or patio?

Almost always. We build on concrete, pavers, grass and decking, and we engineer the footing to suit your surface. During the consult we'll assess your space and recommend the best mounting approach.

Can you repair or re-thatch a palapa I already have?

Yes — re-attach and re-thatch work is one of our specialties. If your existing palapa is looking tired or took storm damage, send us a few photos and we'll let you know how we can bring it back to life.
